Rabbi Dr. Gil Perl

Rabbi Dr. Gil Perl is Chief Academic Officer of the Kohelet Foundation, as well as the Head of School at Kohelet Yeshiva High School in Merion Station, Pennsylvania. An award-winning teacher, Rabbi Perl served as the Associate Head of School at Yeshiva University High School for Boys and as the Head of School at the Margolin Hebrew Academy in Memphis before coming to Kohelet. He earned his BA from the University of Pennsylvania, his Masters and PhD from Harvard, and his semicha from Yeshiva University. Rabbi Perl has sat on the editorial board of Ha-Yedion, RAVSAK’s journal of Jewish education and on the advisory council of the Institute for University-School Partnership at Yeshiva University. He writes and speaks widely on issues pertaining to Jewish history, contemporary Jewry and the future of Jewish education.

Rabbi Perl resides with his wife Melissa and their four wonderful children in Bala Cynwyd, Pennsylvania.
