Dr. Malka Simkovich

Malka Simkovich is a Visiting Instructor of Jewish Studies at Catholic Theological Union in Chicago and earned a Ph.D. in Second Temple and Rabbinic Judaism from Brandeis University. She has an M.A. in Hebrew Bible from Harvard University and a B.A. in Bible Studies and Music Theory from Stern College of Yeshiva University. Her research focuses on universalist Jewish literature that emerged under the Roman empire. Malka's publications include articles in the Harvard Theological Review  and the Journal for the Study of Judaism. She lectures frequently in the Chicago Jewish community, where she lives with her husband Aaron and four children.
